Everyone can attend a Computer Workshop. Students of all skill levels are welcome.
Do I need to be a SLCC student to attend a Computer Workshop?
No - you do not have to be a registered student to attend a workshop.
What is the teaching format used?
Workshops are in-person, instructor led courses. Each student has a computer to work on.
When are they taught?
Workshops are scheduled mornings, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays. Please see the CWS Schedule with dates, times and prices.
Where are they taught?
Workshops are taught at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, the Miller Campus and the Library Square Center. We also schedule on-site training for groups.
Do I need to bring a computer?
No - you do not need to bring your computer to the classroom. Each student has a computer to work on.
How much do workshops cost?
Most workshops are priced from $59 to $325. Please see the CWS Schedule with dates, times and prices.
What if I don't see something that I need?
If you don't see something in our catalog of Computer Workshops, please call 801-957-4845 and we can discuss your needs.
Can I receive DOPL credit for taking a Computer Workshop?
Yes – many workshops qualify to meet your Utah Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL) professional development requirements. To find out more information about DOPL credit, please contact Kathy Jonsson at kathy.jonsson@slcc.edu or 801-957-5383.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes - students that successfully complete a workshop are eligible to receive a certificate.
