"I cannot tell you how much it means to me to finally be working toward completing my degree. I gave up a full-ride scholarship and dropped out of college in my twenties to care for my disabled mother when my grandmother, who was her caregiver, passed away.  As an adult faced with returning to college and working full-time, I was quite discouraged when considering traditional college programs.  There were less classes offered in the evenings and it would likely have taken eight years to get my degree while working.  The ABD program was so helpful because I was able to complete more classes in a shorter period of time.  Completing the program with a cohort is another phenomenal aspect to this program which allows students to be successful.  The ABD program is really amazing!"

"The ABD program was a one of best choices I made for my Associates Degree. As a returning student, over the age of 30, I wanted to get my Associates Degree quickly because I wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s. I knew going to school part time was going to take a long time but with this program I was able to reach my educational goals of getting my Associates in 2 years. The program is tailored to the working professional allowing you to balance work, school and life. The program was very demanding but the reward in getting your degree in 14 months was worth it. It is fast paced and labor intensive but having the same students in every class is the best. You eventually become friends which leads to building trust in your fellow students for those group projects. This is ideal as this is what you’ll experience in the workforce. Also, knowing that you’re guaranteed to be registered for the class is a huge plus! Yes, there is a fee associated to these courses and the teacher options are limited but there is no need in battling other students to register for the classes. It is worth the fee. I am now registered at a four-year university and  I miss the ABD program. I wish they had a similar program but unfortunately they don’t.  For now, I continue pursuing my educational goals at a slower pace but I recommend the ABD program to anyone!"

"I am so glad I found the ABD program. It fit in so well with my busy life. Education is important to me and I wanted to set a good example for my daughter. I didn’t earn my degree prior to starting a career, so I needed to be sure I could complete it and do well in addition to working full time and still being a mother. It was a challenge, but I did it! The way the program is set up with a cohort is a huge help. We worked together and became very tight. I think this is a very important part of the program, because in business we so often work in teams and across department lines. One has to develop the interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with others. The confidence that completing this program and earning my Associates Degree has helped me realize is tremendous! I enjoyed my experience and made some wonderful new friends through this program. Even though I didn’t take the traditional route to earn my degree, I still learned and grew so much. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!"
