How do I enroll in a Short-term Skills Training course?

Step 1:      Log onto our website at http://www.ed2go.com/saltlakecc

Step 2:      Type a key word in the search bar. When you see a course title you are interested in, click on it.

Step 3:      Review the course outline, syllabus, instructor biography and PC requirements tabs.

Step 3:      Click on "Add to Cart" and follow the prompts to create a new account and enroll in the course.

Note!  Seniors receive a $20 discount per course, but must choose "I'll Pay SLCC Directly" when you reach the payment portal.

Bonus! When you enroll online through this process, your $40 SLCC admission fee is waived!

How long does it take to complete a course?

Short-term Skills Training courses run for 6 - 8 weeks. You will be granted access to two new lessons each week for six weeks. Each lesson will be accompanied by a short, multiple-choice quiz, and some lessons may also include a hands-on assignment. You are expected to complete each quiz and assignment within 10 days from when the lesson is released. The course will conclude with a final exam. You will have 10 days from the day the final exam is released to complete your studies and submit the final exam for evaluation.

What happens if I'm away during part of the course?

No problem! There's a two-week grace period built right into each of our quizzes and final exams. As long as you can live with that 2-week time frame, you can read each lesson at your leisure, and complete each assignment when it is convenient for you. Once a lesson is released it stays active in the course.

How will I receive my lessons, quizzes, and assignments?

Each course comes complete with an online classroom. You will be able to use your web browser to access the online classroom and obtain your course material and communicate with your instructor.

What if I have a question about a course?

Each of your lessons is accompanied by an interactive discussion area. When you need help with a lesson, you can post your question or inquiry in the appropriate course discussion area. The instructor, his or her teaching assistant, or one of your fellow students will respond.

When is my tuition due?

If you don't pay online during the enrollment process, your payment for your Short-term Skills Training course is due no later than five days after the course begins. Feel free to enroll and take the weekend to decide if you want to continue. (If you want to pay online, you must do it at the time of enrollment; otherwise, you can pay with a credit card over the phone by the due date, no later than five days after the course begins).

What is the refund policy?

A full refund is available if notice of cancellation is emailed to mykel.severson@slcc.edu within 14 days after the course start date.  No refunds will be available after that date.  Students are allowed to transfer to a future start date if they have completed less than 6 lessons.
