FAQs

How do I enroll in a Career Training Certificate Program?

Step 1:      Log onto our website at http://careertraining.ed2go.com/slcc/

Step 2:      Click on a category in the course menu (along the left hand side of the page) and then click the box next to the course title you are interested in, or use the search engine on the right hand side to find your course.

Step 3:      Complete the Contact Form and click “Contact Me” at the bottom of the form. An admissions advisor will contact you via email with instructions to complete your registration and submit your total tuition.

Bonus: When you enroll online through this process, your $40 SLCC admission fee is waived!

Is financial assistance available?

There are many options to finance your program including loans from ed2go (our provider partner), military assistance, US and state government funding (through Department of Workforce Services), and tax credits.

Please visit ed2go's Financial Assistance page for more information.

When will my program begin?

Continuing Education career training certificate programs are self-paced and will begin as soon as you submit your total tuition or make arrangements for other financial assistance.

When does my program end?

Most Continuing Education career training certificate programs take between 90 and 120 days to complete depending on the number of contact hours and the student’s motivation to complete their studies. Your personal academic advisor will give you direction.

What if I can't complete my program?

Since our programs are self-paced, it has been our policy to work with students until they are able to complete their program. When students need more time, we are happy to accommodate their needs. If a student, for whatever reason, is not able to continue with their training we will make arrangements for the student to take time off and complete their program when it is convenient for them. There is a $250 fee to extend your program beyond six months.

What is the refund policy?

There is a strict No Refund policy for Continuing Education Career Training Certificate Programs. Students are given all materials and complete access to their entire course upon registration. Once the course is accessed either by requesting materials or viewing lessons there are no refunds.

Why can't I pay online?

Continuing Education at SLCC is in the process of designing an online payment system, but unfortunately it is not ready yet!
